products III: Cost vs. Actual Cost
Perhaps you noticed ever Navision that there are areas of expected cost and actual cost fields. What is meant by expected cost and what is meant by real cost?
The expected cost of a product movement forecast cost is going to have this motion before the same has been baggage.
Imagine a movement of product caused by the registration of a purchase slip.
material has come to the store, with a corresponding delivery note and we proceeded to record the entry into Navision. This has generated a movement of Purchase type product. If after registration we will see the movement, we see that we have cost in the "Cost Amount (Expected)" and the "cost amount (real) is 0.
This is because at this time we do not have the invoice, which is who will give us the final cost.
The expected cost of movement was calculated based on the reported purchase price in the purchase order.
The moment we register the invoice, if we turn our attention to the movement of product, now we see that 0 as "Cost Amount (Expected)" and the appropriate value (according to the reported price on the invoice) as "cost amount (Real)."
Look further if billing is part of the purchase order, decreases the value of the expected cost * (the share of the amount already invoiced) and increases the value of the actual cost (the corresponding to the amount already invoiced).
There are movements that will not have a bill associated, as inventory adjustments or transfers between warehouses. What happens to these movements? Do stay with expected cost and will not ever have real cost? No no, in these cases, although there is no invoice, Navision and treats them as billed from the start. So it's just the opposite, these movements will always have real cost and never expected cost.
* This is from Microsoft Business Solutions 4.0. In previous versions, the value of the expected cost dismunuía not, always seemed original expected cost, although the movement was already fully charged.

60 Dollar Prom Dresses
expected introduction date
Navision has pretty quick ways to enter dates. And not just dates, there are quick ways to make date filters.
There are several ways to enter dates that I already knew, but the truth is that today, after 4 years working with Navision, I have found some ways that I found curious and want to share with you.
Imagine that today is December 2, 2010 (2/12/2010) and I'm using as a working date of 30 November 2010 (11/30/2010)
begin with already known :
• h: today. If we write h in a date field, the system puts today's date
• t: work. If we write t in a date field, the system puts the date of work
• No need to write the separator character between day, month and year
• When writing the character of separation, we can use multiple characters: slash (/), dash (-), period (.), semicolon ( ,), colon (:), semicolon (;), in fact, I get the feeling that we can use anything other than a number
• We can write only day, and Navision complete the date with month and year of the date of work
• We write only the day and month, and Navision complete the date with the year of the date of work
And now she did not know and I found today:
• For dates of the days of the week for the week of the date of work we use l (Monday), m (Tuesday), my (Wednesday), j (Thursday), v (Friday), s (Saturday), d (Sunday), or even write part or all of the name of the week
• We can create the most common date filters filter (Filter year and month) of using the lyrics to (year) p (period) in order to filter the current year and month (accounting period) * current. Using a-1, assemble the filter dates to the previous year, the same way as p-1 would create the filter dates to the previous accounting period
* For this feature to work properly accounting periods should be in Navision
